Train service suspended for 3 months on Tashkent overground metro for maintenance
Starting June 8, train services between the “Turan” and “Qipchoq” stations of the Tashkent Overground Metro will be temporarily suspended due to scheduled preventive maintenance. To minimize passenger inconvenience, free high-capacity shuttle buses (metro buses) will operate along the “Qipchoq–Quruvchilar–Qipchoq” route during this period.

According to Tashkent Metro authorities, a phased preventive maintenance program will be implemented over the course of three months on the Overground Circle Line, specifically between the “Technopark” and “Qipchoq” stations.
The statement noted that the 14 stations along the “Technopark–Qipchoq” segment have been serving passengers for several years. Drawing on international experience, newly built metro lines are typically subject to scheduled maintenance after a certain period of use to ensure the safety of train operations and provide high-quality service.
In line with this practice, maintenance work on the elevated sections and stations of the Overground Circle Line will begin on June 8, 2025. Train service between the “Turan” (Station 13) and “Qipchoq” (Station 14) will be temporarily halted.
To provide uninterrupted service during the suspension, free shuttle buses will run between the “Qipchoq” and “Quruvchilar” metro stations from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily.
