UzAuto Motors sees sharp decline in profit
UzAuto Motors’ net profit halved in the first quarter of this year, according to data published on the Openinfo website.

The financial results for the first quarter of 2025 have been released by Uzbekistan’s largest car manufacturer. Between January and March, UzAuto Motors generated total revenue of 9.7 trillion UZS, which is a 17% decrease compared to the same period last year (11.7 trillion UZS).
During the reporting period, the company posted a net profit of 637 billion UZS — a figure that is half of the 1.3 trillion UZS recorded in the first quarter of 2024.
Despite the drop in profit, company expenses have risen. In the first quarter of last year, expenses totaled 1.052 trillion UZS, while this year’s figure exceeded 1.087 trillion UZS.
Between January and May 2025, the company sold 31,000 fewer vehicles compared to the same period in the previous year. Moreover, Chevrolet’s market share in new car sales dropped significantly, falling from 90.2% to 82.2%.
