“New budget minivan introduction won’t affect Damas and Labo production” — UzAuto Motors
UzAuto Motors has no intention of halting the production of Chevrolet Damas and Labo vehicles, according to the automaker’s press service.

“There are currently no plans to discontinue the production of Damas and Labo models. Should any changes occur in the product lineup, we will announce them in advance on our official channels,” the state-owned company emphasized.
According to data from the National Statistics Committee, production of Damas vehicles grew by nearly 18% in January–March 2025, exceeding 22,400 units. In the first four months of this year, Damas ranked second in car sales, with over 19,150 units sold.
Earlier in May, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced that UzAuto Motors would begin producing low-cost minivans at the Damas manufacturing facility in the Khorezm region. This prompted speculation on social media that the new minivan model might replace the existing Damas and Labo lines.
According to the president, the new vehicle – compliant with Euro-5 emission standards and seating seven passengers – will require a $100 million investment. The company plans to begin semi-knocked-down (SKD) assembly in 2026, followed by full-cycle production starting in 2027.
Following the announcement, rumors circulated online suggesting that the new model might be the Chevrolet N400 Passenger, a 7-seater minivan capable of carrying cargo up to 640 kg.
In response to inquiries regarding the new model, UzAuto Motors stated that the vehicle will be chosen "based on the preferences of the target customer." The automaker is currently evaluating potential models in terms of technical specifications, reliability, and comfort.
