Uzbekistan establishes diplomatic relations with Côte d’Ivoire
Côte d’Ivoire, a country in West Africa, has become the 160th nation to establish diplomatic relations with Uzbekistan.

A Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic ties between Uzbekistan and Côte d’Ivoire was signed in New York, according to the Dunyo news agency.
The document was signed on behalf of their respective governments by Ulugbek Lapasov, Uzbekistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and Tiémoko Moriko, Côte d’Ivoire’s Permanent Representative to the UN.
The parties expressed readiness to strengthen joint cooperation within international organizations, including the United Nations and its specialized agencies.
The sides also agreed to activate bilateral contacts to identify mutually beneficial areas of cooperation in the political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
