Uzbekistan’s new ambassador to Norway presents credentials to King Harald V
Uzbekistan’s newly appointed ambassador to Norway, Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov – who is based in Stockholm – presented his credentials to King Harald V of Norway on May 15.

Following the official ceremony, the two sides held a conversation during which they discussed the current state of and prospects for further strengthening bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Norway in the fields of politics, trade and economy, investment, technology, and culture and humanitarian affairs.
Particular attention was given to the significant potential for expanding cooperation in addressing the effects of climate change, developing green energy, reducing poverty, and enhancing the role of women and youth in society.
For reference, diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Norway were established on June 10, 1992. Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov arrived in Stockholm on October 15, 2024, as Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Sweden, and presented his credentials to King Carl XVI Gustaf on December 4.
