Chinese company to supply 183 modern buses to Almalyk and Termez
The Chinese company Zhongtong Bus Holdings plans to deliver several batches of buses to cities across Uzbekistan, while the Ministry of Transport has also discussed simplifying credit arrangements for transport procurement in other regions.

On February 19, First Deputy Minister Mamanbiy Omarov held an online meeting with the automaker, which was also attended by representatives of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) and the insurance company Sinosure.
The parties discussed financing initiatives for acquiring public transport vehicles for Tashkent, Almalyk, and Termez to improve urban transportation services. Proposals were put forward to simplify credit and leasing processes for bus deliveries to other regions.
According to the Ministry of Transport, the company Olmaliq Trans Service plans to purchase 83 buses, while another 100 buses are expected to be delivered to the company Termiztransporthizmat.
Earlier this week, Toshshahartranshizmat announced the results of a tender for the supply of 200 electric buses for the capital, along with charging stations. Three Chinese companies participated in the competition, with Yutong Bus Co. Ltd. emerging as the winner.
Previously, Kun.uz reported that the Spanish company UNVI plans to establish bus production and converting Mercedes buses into electric vehicles in Uzbekistan.
