All charter flights from and to Tashkent will move to ‘Tashkent-East’ airport
The new airport will operate year-round in all weather conditions.

All charter flights departing from or arriving in Tashkent will be redirected to the new Tashkent-East airport, according to Shukhrat Khudaykulov, Board Chairman of Uzbekistan Airways.
According to Khudaykulov, Tashkent-East is the first airport in the country to meet the ICAO Category III-A classification. This allows it to operate 24/7, 365 days a year, regardless of weather conditions.
Currently, more than 10 charter flights are operated out of Tashkent International Airport.
The business terminal of the new airport will have the capacity to serve up to 100 passengers per hour.
“This is the first airport tailored specifically for business aviation. The President placed special emphasis on the importance of this segment,” Khudaykulov noted.
A key advantage of the new airport is that it eliminates the need to divert flights to alternate airports during adverse weather conditions.
The apron of Tashkent-East will be able to accommodate up to 23 large aircraft simultaneously, including Boeing 747s.
The airport is expected to be commissioned in the near future.
