Japan partners with Uzbekistan to recruit 10,000 skilled workers
As part of the initiative, training centers will be opened in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Namangan to teach Japanese language, prepare for qualification exams, and develop essential job skills.

A cooperation agreement has been signed between Uzbekistanās Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers and the Japan-China-Asia Educational Medical Cultural Exchange (JCAEMCE) foundation, officially launching the "Project to Recruit 10,000 Uzbek Specialists to Japan."
According to the agreement, training will begin in Uzbekistan. Specifically, āJapanese Skill Lightā training courses will be opened in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Namangan. These courses will provide instruction in Japanese language, exam preparation for professional qualifications, and the acquisition of practical skills needed for employment.
In addition, a special online platform called WiseBridge is being developed to allow applicants to directly browse job openings in Japan and connect with potential employers. The platform is scheduled to become operational in June 2025.
āUzbekistan, with its rapidly growing youth population and strong potential in the labor market, is becoming one of Japanās trusted partners in labor migration,ā said Yukio Hatoyama, former Prime Minister of Japan and current head of JCAEMCE.
