The Chinese company Sino Road and Bridge Corporation may participate in the modernization and management of Uzbekistan's railway stations. This issue was discussed on April 2, during a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Transport, Jasurbek Choriyev, and the Executive General Director of the company's foreign branch, Jimmy Chang, as reported by the Ministry of Transport's press service.
The representative of the Chinese corporation expressed interest in developing the country's transport infrastructure, including the railway, aviation, and road sectors. In response, Jasurbek Choriyev suggested that Sino Road and Bridge Corporation consider participating in public-private partnership projects (PPP) for the modernization and management of railway stations in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Kokand, as well as other transport initiatives.
The parties agreed to develop specific and mutually beneficial proposals for further discussion.
