Children allegedly beaten regularly at Tanzilandia private kindergarten

In the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent, caregivers at a kindergarten have allegedly mistreated children with excessive harshness. Parents claim they discovered this by placing a voice recording device inside their child’s toy. As a result, three caregivers have been dismissed, and a pre-investigation probe is underway to determine whether the children sustained physical injuries, with a medical examination ordered.

Videos have surfaced online showing staff at a private preschool in the capital mistreating children.

According to Repost.uz, such incidents have reportedly occurred regularly at the Tanzilandia private kindergarten in the Mirzo Ulugbek district, where children have been subjected to beatings.

One parent allegedly noticed changes in their child's behavior. To understand what was happening, they placed a voice recorder inside the child’s toy before sending them to kindergarten. The eight-hour recording reportedly captured caregivers using offensive language and repeatedly beating the children.

Following this discovery, parents who were initially unable to obtain security footage from the kindergarten director were later able to review it at the district police department. The footage allegedly showed caregivers physically punishing children in the gym, dressing rooms, and activity halls while behaving calmly and politely in areas monitored by cameras accessible to parents.

According to the Children’s Ombudsman, on February 12, seven parents filed a complaint regarding the mistreatment of their children at the private preschool, requesting legal action.

“At present, the Mirzo Ulugbek district police department is conducting a pre-investigation probe into the incident. A forensic medical examination has been ordered to determine whether the children sustained physical injuries,” the statement said.

It was emphasized that the preschool administration has terminated the employment contracts of three caregivers. The pre-investigation procedures are ongoing, and further updates on the case are expected.
