Uzbekistan sees significant growth in tourist arrivals from Europe and Asia
According to preliminary data from the Statistics Agency, Uzbekistan has seen significant growth in the number of tourists arriving from various countries in 2024. Notably, visitors from the United Kingdom, China, France, Spain, and Germany have contributed to a marked increase in tourism, with a total of thousands of travelers coming to Uzbekistan for various reasons.

Tourist arrivals from the United Kingdom
In 2024, a total of 21,128 tourists arrived in Uzbekistan from the United Kingdom, an increase of 4,963 compared to 2023. The primary reasons for visits were:
- Travel: 17,583 people
- Visiting relatives: 2,123 people
- Business: 82 people
- Study: 64 people
- Medical treatment: 9 people
- Official duties: 1,267 people
Tourist arrivals from France
From France, 23,390 tourists visited Uzbekistan in 2024, an increase of 4,742 compared to 2023. The distribution of reasons for their visits included:
- Travel: 20,948 people
- Visiting relatives: 1,186 people
- Business: 67 people
- Study: 58 people
- Official duties: 1,131 people
Tourist arrivals from Spain
Spanish tourists made a notable contribution to the influx of visitors, with 23,564 tourists arriving in Uzbekistan in 2024. This represents an increase of 8,401 compared to 2023. The main reasons for their trips:
- Travel: 21,576 people
- Business: 1,069 people
- Visiting relatives: 900 people
- Study: 8 people
- Medical treatment: 1 people
- Official duties: 10 people
Tourist arrivals from Germany
Tourism from Germany also experienced significant growth in 2024, with 37,526 German tourists visiting Uzbekistan, an increase of 7,918 from the previous year. The reasons for their visits:
- Travel: 31,291 people
- Visiting relatives: 4,524 people
- Business: 80 people
- Study: 43 people
- Medical treatment: 8 people
- Official duties: 1,580 people
Tourist arrivals from China
Tourism from China saw a significant increase in 2024, with 74,304 Chinese tourists visiting Uzbekistan, up by 31,834 from the previous year. The major reasons for these visits were:
- Travel: 57,141 people
- Business: 1,177 people
- Visiting relatives: 1,228 people
- Study: 794 people
- Medical treatment: 3 people
- Official duties: 1,131 people
The majority of travelers came for leisure and tourism, with a notable portion visiting for family reasons, business, or official duties.
