Komil Allamjonov comments on verdict in assassination attempt case

"Truth was bent, twisted, but it was never broken – it eventually surfaced, and it will continue to do so," Allamjonov wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also mentioned that the hardships he endured over the past five months are known only to "his family and closest loved ones."

As a reminder, today, February 12, the Military Court handed down its verdict for 10 individuals involved in the assassination attempt case.

Shukhrat Rasulov was sentenced to 23 years in prison, Javlon Yunusov to 18 years and 6 months, Shohrukh Akhmedov to 23 years, Ismoil Jahongirov to 23 years, and Doniyor Toshkhujayev to 7 years in prison.

Komil Allamjonov, who headed the Department of Information Policy of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan until September 30, 2024, was attacked on October 26. Several shots were fired at the car he was in, but Allamjonov was unharmed. A criminal case was opened on the same day.
