Starbucks coffee shops may appear in Tashkent

On January 21, the khokim of Tashkent Jakhongir Artikhodjayev met with the regional representative of Alshaya Group, Nenji Menhotra, the press service of Tashkent city administration said.
At the meeting, issues of establishing cooperation were discussed. In particular, the parties considered prospects for opening Starbucks coffee shops in Tashkent.
In addition, Nenji Menhotra voiced interest in projects related to 4- and 5-star hotels in Tashkent.
He is also interested in urban infrastructure and communication development projects in the light of demographic and urbanization trends in the coming five years.
In turn, Artikhodjayev provided Nenji Menhotra with information about the socio-economic and investment potential, as well as tourism opportunities of Tashkent.
