The project is being implemented on 666.2 hectares of land allocated in the Telyau neighborhood and will be carried out in several stages over a three-year period.
In the first stage, two solar-powered energy blocks, each with a capacity of 240 MW, will be installed, along with an energy storage system.
Subsequent phases will include the construction of wind turbines, additional energy storage systems, and the development of hydropower and biomass facilities, making it a comprehensive green energy complex.
The project is being carried out by the foreign company Ahangaran New Energy, registered in July 2024, according to the Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organizations (EGRPO). Its core activity is electricity sales. The company’s sole founder is Hubei Baibuting Energy Technology Co. Ltd., and its director is Zhang Baofu.
The project stems from a memorandum of understanding signed in June 2024 between the Tashkent regional administration and Baibuting Group. The agreement outlines the construction of a power station that will use solar, wind, and hydropower sources.
The initial investment for the project’s first stage will be up to $200 million, with the total planned capacity of the green power station reaching 2 GW upon completion.
