Uzbekistan to celebrate Eid al-Adha on June 6
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree "On Celebrating the Blessed Eid al-Adha."

According to the document, based on information from the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, the first day of Eid al-Adha in 2025 falls on Friday, June 6. This day will be widely celebrated across the country as the Eid al-Adha holiday.
To ensure that the public can observe the holiday in a meaningful and comfortable manner, Saturday, June 7, has been declared an additional day off for employees who work a six-day week schedule.
The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city administrations, in cooperation with the Committee for Religious Affairs, the Mahalla Foundation, the National Agency for Social Protection, and other partner organizations, will implement necessary measures to ensure the holiday is celebrated in accordance with the nation's cultural traditions and customs.
