Gov’t increases cash prizes for international Olympiad winners and their teachers
A presidential decree titled “On Measures for the Implementation of the ‘President’s Gifted Children’ Initiative” has been adopted.
Under the decree, changes have been made to the one-time monetary rewards awarded to winners of prestigious international Olympiads, international Olympiads, and regional international Olympiads, as well as to their teachers and national team leaders.
Accordingly, for prestigious international Olympiads:
- 1st place (Gold medal):
- Students: 2,500 times the base calculation amount (currently 937.5 million UZS)
- Teachers: 450 times the base amount (currently 168.75 million UZS)
- National team leader: 35 times the base amount (currently 13.125 million UZS)
- 2nd place (Silver medal):
- Students: 1,500 times the base amount (currently 562.5 million UZS)
- Teachers: 250 times the base amount (currently 93.75 million UZS)
- National team leader: 25 times the base amount (currently 9.375 million UZS)
- 3rd place (Bronze medal):
- Students: 1,000 times the base amount (currently 375 million UZS)
- Teachers: 150 times the base amount (currently 56.25 million UZS)
- National team leader: 15 times the base amount (currently 5.625 million UZS)
For international Olympiads:
- 1st place (Gold medal):
- Students: 150 times the base amount (currently 56.25 million UZS)
- Teachers: 50 times the base amount (currently 18.75 million UZS)
- 2nd place (Silver medal):
- Students: 100 times the base amount (currently 37.5 million UZS)
- Teachers: 35 times the base amount (currently 13.125 million UZS)
- 3rd place (Bronze medal):
- Students: 50 times the base amount (currently 18.75 million UZS)
- Teachers: 30 times the base amount (currently 11.25 million UZS)
For regional international Olympiads:
- 1st place (Gold medal):
- Students: 12 times the base amount (currently 4.5 million UZS)
- Teachers: 50 times the base amount (currently 18.75 million UZS)
- 2nd place (Silver medal):
- Students: 8 times the base amount (currently 3 million UZS)
- Teachers: 35 times the base amount (currently 13.125 million UZS)
- 3rd place (Bronze medal):
- Students: 6 times the base amount (currently 2.25 million UZS)
- Teachers: 30 times the base amount (currently 11.25 million UZS)
