According to the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, measures are being taken to improve the technical condition of elevator systems in multi-apartment buildings and to ensure safe living conditions for residents.
As part of the “Safe Elevator” unified interagency platform, a registry of elevator maintenance organizations will be maintained. This registry will include data on licenses issued for installation and repair activities, the validity periods of those licenses, and information about the servicing specialists.
A comprehensive inspection was conducted on 13,798 elevators located in 5,491 multi-apartment buildings across the country. Based on the results, it was determined that 2,001 elevators have exceeded their operational lifespan and need to be replaced, while 382 require repairs.
To implement these measures, a total of 854.6 billion UZS will be allocated from local budget funds.
