Pension Fund and budget allocations

The Ministry of Economy and Finance previously released preliminary data on the execution of Uzbekistan’s 2024 state budget. Some financial indicators of state-managed funds are recorded separately from the general budget, but if their expenditures exceed revenues, the deficit is covered by the state budget.

For instance, in 2024, the Pension Fund generated 47.1 trillion UZS in revenue, primarily from taxes and other contributions. However, an additional 16.3 trillion UZS was transferred from the state budget to cover pension payments, bringing total revenues to 63.4 trillion UZS against 64 trillion UZS in expenditures.
