Abdukodir Khusanov presents Manchester City jersey to Shavkat Mirziyoyev

Abdukodir Khusanov, a defender for both the Uzbekistan national team and Manchester City, participated in Navruz festivities, as reported by the Uzbekistan Football Association.

During the Navruz event held on March 21 at New Uzbekistan Park, Khusanov joined the celebrations and later presented President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with a signed Manchester City jersey as a gift.

A published photo shows that Khusanov was accompanied by his father, Hikmat Hoshimov, during the meeting with the head of state.

Khusanov had played in a match against Kyrgyzstan on March 20. He is expected to take the field again with the Uzbekistan national team in a game against Iran on March 25.

As a reminder, during a late January visit to the United Arab Emirates, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and one of the owners of Manchester City. It was revealed at the time that the two leaders discussed Khusanov’s transfer to the club during their meeting.
