President Mirziyoyev ratifies Strategic Partnership Agreement with Qatar
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law ratifying the agreement on establishing a bilateral strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Qatar.

The corresponding document was inked by both parties in April 2024. It defines key areas of cooperation in political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Specifically, the agreement aims to deepen collaboration in fields such as education and science, healthcare, culture and cultural heritage, tourism, and sports.
It also envisions experience exchange in training and professional development for specialists working in areas such as economics, governance, diplomacy, and tourism.
The document outlines measures to expand mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, attract and promote investments, and establish joint ventures in the private sector in accordance with international agreements.
Additionally, the law sets mechanisms for coordinating efforts in combating international terrorism, extremism, illicit drug and psychotropic substance trafficking, as well as organized crime and human trafficking.
