Uzbekistan aims for $7 billion in textile exports by 2027
A decree by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, adopted on January 16, outlines measures for the development of the processing chain in the textile and garment industry, setting a key target to increase exports to $4 billion by 2025.

According to the decree, the main target indicators for the development of the processing chain in the textile and garment industry from 2025 to 2027 are as follows:
- Increasing the export of products to $4 billion in 2025, $5 billion in 2026, and $7 billion in 2027;
- Exporting finished products to the markets of the USA and European countries worth $500 million;
- Expanding the implementation of advanced technologies and modern design developments, as well as attracting international brands, to increase the share of finished textile and garment products in total exports to 70%;
- Attracting $5 billion in foreign investments and loans to further develop the deep processing of cotton fiber.
Support mechanisms will be introduced to create favorable financial conditions for deepening processing in the textile sector.
The "Made in Uzbekistan" program will be implemented to promote, place, and advertise local products and brands on international marketplaces.
A factoring organization will be established under the "Trade Development Company" JSC.
