Salaries of healthcare workers to increase in 2025

It is planned to allocate 41 trillion UZS to the healthcare sector in 2025. These funds will be used to establish and equip new hospitals, expand existing capacities, and increase the coverage of medical examinations. This was announced during a meeting held under the president.

The President emphasized that the primary task in this sector is improving the quality of primary healthcare. To achieve this, proper use of the ministry's vertical structure in regions and paying special attention to remote and underdeveloped districts were identified as key priorities.

In this regard, Turkish experts have studied the activities of medical institutions in six regions and the medical services provided there. Based on these studies, proposals are being developed for systematic reforms in primary healthcare services. Officials were instructed to analyze this issue thoroughly and prepare a draft resolution on transforming the primary healthcare system.

The training programs for workers in this area will be improved. A gradual shift will be made from acquiring theoretical knowledge and skills to developing competencies.

Additionally, the salaries of medical workers will be increased next year. A performance-based bonus system will be introduced for family doctors.

The focus on regional development will continue. In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and the regions of Navoi, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khorezm, and Kashkadarya, a state health insurance system will be introduced. Centralized laboratory services will be expanded. A "Procurement Center" and its 13 regional branches will be established, enabling electronic monitoring of the use of medical equipment.

Furthermore, 400 national clinical protocols across 35 areas will be developed. Seven specialized centers and two higher education institutions will undergo international accreditation.

The meeting also addressed staffing issues, emphasizing the importance of improving the quality of education in medical institutions, strengthening its alignment with practical experience, and organizing internships for graduates in primary healthcare settings.
