Kyrgyzstan appoints new ambassador to Uzbekistan
Kyrgyzstan has appointed Duishonkul Chotonov as the country’s new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan.

The appointment was formalized by a decree signed by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.
Duishonkul Chotonov brings extensive diplomatic experience to the role, having previously served as Kyrgyzstan’s ambassador to South Korea and Vietnam.
He succeeds Musa Dzhamanbayev, who led the Kyrgyz diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan since April 2022.
