On August 9, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

During the conversation, President Mirziyoyev expressed concern about the powerful earthquake that recently struck southeastern Japan and the anticipated tsunami.
