Uzbek weightlifter Sardor Lapasov receives 4-year ban for doping violation
The athlete's doping test taken during the competition revealed the presence of the banned substance "Clenbuterol."

Uzbek weightlifter Sardor Lapasov has been disqualified from sports for 4 years for violating the anti-doping rule specified in Article 2.1 of the World Anti-Doping Code.
According to Uzbekistan’s National Anti-Doping Agency, a doping sample taken from the athlete during the competition tested positive for the banned substance "Clenbuterol." "Clenbuterol" is listed in the 2024 list of prohibited substances.
An individual (athlete, coach, etc.) serving a disqualification sentence is prohibited from participating in international and national competitions and training camps until the disqualification period expires.
If the above requirements are not met, the athlete may face a lifetime disqualification. Additionally, the code specifies that penalties may also be imposed on the sports federation or association.
