First season of “Initiative Budget” kicks off

Voting for the first season of the “Initiative Budget” for 2024 has begun on March 13 at 00:00 and will last until April 1, 23:59. 3.02 trillion soums have been allocated for projects.

Voting on projects for the 1st season of the “Initiative Budget” for 2024 has started on March 13.

A total of 35,575 applications were received across the country this season. More than 3.02 trillion soums will be allocated from district and city budgets to finance the winning initiatives.

Starting this year, the voting process for the “Initiative Budget” is carried out according to the principle of one citizen – one vote. A system is being introduced to confirm the identity of the owner of the votes cast and to identify the vote cast by each citizen. This, in turn, will prevent mass purchases of SIM cards to cheat votes. It will also serve to ensure reliability in determining the winners.
