Sarvarbek Zafarjonov becomes Asian Champion in weightlifting
Uzbekistan’s weightlifters have clinched their first gold medal at the Asian Championships in the men's 89 kg weight category.

The Asian Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent kicked off successfully today for the Uzbekistan national team. Sarvarbek Zafarjonov, competing in the men's 89 kg category, garnered two medals: a gold and a silver.
Zafarjonov lifted 167 kg in the snatch discipline, earning him the gold medal.
Additionally, the Uzbek weightlifter secured second place in the total of the two lifts with a combined weight of 362 kg.
